Planning and Booking

We will personally consult with you about your travel objectives and then plan an itinerary and make all arrangements for your trip. Airline tickets, travel insurance, car rental, train tickets, museum tickets and hotel bookings are secured and charged directly to your credit card.

Consultation/Travel Planning Fee

Cost for Cartolina Tours Planning Service will be 12% of the total trip cost. Cartolina Tours planning fee, private guided tours and private car transfers can be paid by credit card, personal check, or money order directly to Cartolina Tours. Some of the activities, depending on your itinerary, will be "pay as you go".

Cancellation Fees

An administrative fee of $100 per person will be assessed for any cancellation. Tours cancelled within 21 days of departure will be non-refundable. Tours cancelled more than 21 days from departure will be 100% refundable, minus the consultation travel planning fee. Airline Tickets will follow the specific airline and ticket refund policies.

Insurance

Cartolina Tours, Inc. strongly recommends that all clients obtain travel insurance as part of their custom trip. If you need to cancel your tour before departure we will try to cancel and obtain refunds from the service providers. However, in most cases, clients will need to submit a claim to their travel insurance company to obtain a refund. Travel insurance may not be purchased after final payment. Travel insurance policy details and costs are available from Cartolina Tours. Once purchased, the insurance premium is completely non-refundable.

Terms and Conditions

Cartolina Tours, Inc. and/or its agents, act only as agents in making arrangements for hotels, sightseeing tours, and transportation or any other service in connection with the itineraries of individual tour members who by acceptance thereof, acknowledge that neither Cartolina Tours, Inc, the sponsoring organization and/or its agents and suppliers shall not be liable for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity, liability or expense to person or property due to act or default by any hotel, carrier or other company or person providing or rendering services included in the tours. Further, Cartolina Tours, Inc., the sponsoring organization and/or its agents accept no responsibility for any sickness, pilferage, labor disputes, machinery breakdown, government restraints, acts of war and terrorism, weather conditions, defect in any vehicle of transportation or for any misadventure or casualty or any other causes beyond their control. Cartolina Tours, Inc., reserves the right to cancel, change or substitute any service and to decline to accept or retain any tour member at any time for any reason including, without limitation, insufficient number of participants.

Tour Documents

Documents are typically sent 30 days prior to US departure date with complimentary shipping as follows: bookings inclusive of car, or rail are sent via express mail; bookings consisting of only hotel and/or standard sightseeing services are sent via email, regular mail or can be faxed. Requests for early processing of documents are subject to a $15.00 administration fee, and may be denied due to ticketing restrictions for certain transportation services. Requests for reissuing of documents and/or shipment to multiple destinations are subject to a $15.00 administration fee.

Passports and Visas

Cartolina Tours is not responsible for the provision of passports or visas. Please check with the appropriate consulates of each country you are visiting for details.
