Italy: Dolomites and Piedmont
Day
1: The Veneto
Arrive Venice, pick up car and drive to Rolle (about 1.5 hours drive) - in the heart of the Veneto and home to Prosecco! Relax tonight at your apartment and take in the views with a bottle of Bisol Cartuzze Prosecco.
Day 2: The Veneto
Today, drive to Bassano del Grappa or Valdobiaddene. Take in the local markets and cuisine. These towns are largely untouched by tourists and offer an opportunity to see a hidden corner of Italy without the crowds.
Day 3: The Veneto
Today, spend the day relaxing by the pool, or going to one of the many nearby wineries for a Prosecco tasting or exploring nearby towns. Have a wonderful dinner on your terrace.
Day 4: Dolomites
Today, drive into the Dolomites (2 hours) to the lovely chalet-sytle
4 star mountain hotel, spectacularly set in the heart of the mountains.
Enjoy your 13th-century hotel with Tyrolean-style decor, a pool, a
spa offering herb and wine baths, and delicious regional cuisine.
This afternoon enjoy a hike right from your door. 
Day 5: Dolomites
Today, do day hikes right from your chalet or enjoy golf and a spa afternoon before wine tasting and dinner at your hotel.
Day 6: Driving Day/Piedmont
Today, drive from the Dolomites to Piedmont, (4 hour drive) to the Barolo and Barbera vineyards. Check into a former Franciscan monastery which is now a luxurious hotel celebrated for its serene hilltop setting, Enjoy the Caudalie Vinotherapy spa and its Michelin-starred restaurant featuring superb Piedmontese cuisine.
Day 7: Piedmont
This morning, your guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Alba. Alba, a charming medieval city with old houses and stone towers is known for its excellent wine. The city is in the heart of white truffle country and each fall truffle lovers the world over converge on the town for its annual truffle fair. Alba is also home to wine favorites such as Barolo and Barbesco. Tour the ancient Roman town, lunch in a local restaurant followed by more sightseeing in the afternoon including a visit and tasting at a Barolo winery. Then on to visit the village of Grinzane Cavore. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.
Day 8: Piedmont
After breakfast at your hotel, you guide will pick you up and take
you to the wonderful town of Bra. Enjoy a cheese tasting and tour of
the town. Lunch in a local restaurant which features only local, organically
grown cuisine. This will be followed by a tour to Pollenzo, and a visit
to the Banca del Vino (Wine Bank). You will also visit the town of
Barolo,
dominated
entirely by the beautiful medieval castle, and a wine tasting. 
Day 9: Piedmont - The Hunt for White October!
Today it's off to truffle hunt! After breakfast at your hotel, your guide will pick you up and take you truffle hunting with a local truffle hunter and his dog. Return to hotel after lunch.
Day 10: Piedmont
Today, after checking out, drive to the town of Barbaresco. Enjoy
exploring the town and have a wonderful lunch at Risorante Antine.
This afternoon, continue to the town of Canale where you will 
check
into your wonderful accommodations set amid the vineyards of the Malvira
winery.
Day 11: Piedmont
Early morning transfer from your hotel to go hot air ballooning above the valley! After the ride you will be returned to your hotel (total time for prep and flight is 3 hours). This afternoon explore the town of Asti.Walk through the streets of Asti taking in the beautiful Renaissance palazzos, gorgeous piazzas and interesting churches.
Day 12: Departure
Today drive to the airport or train station to drop off your rental car and depart for home or your next destination.
